3-chamber MDC with CF/Immob Y-NR (carbon felt + immobilised yeast nitrate reductase) biocathode, wastewater anolyte, 15 g/L NaCl desalination chamber, 30-day batch. Peak current density anchored against the biocathode kinetic limit (~0.1 A/m² regime). Reported in the paper as 92.5 mA m⁻² (= 0.0925 A/m²).
DB extraction (confidence 0.85, paperId fe879e42-b404-45d0-9874-767be0c0f257): "92.5 mA m-2 of current density". Multiple reported values 73.3, 80.2, 83, 92.5 mA/m² across configurations — we anchor on the peak (92.5 mA/m²) per the closure convention.

What we don't know about this paper (5 items)
  1. Promoted from Track 9 HOLDOUT (`_holdout/mdc-hidayat-2021-catalytic-surface`) to LOGAN_PRESETS calibration preset in Wave 4 (2026-05-22). Source: local Supabase DB query (paperId fe879e42-b404-45d0-9874-767be0c0f257, confidence 0.85 on current density).
  2. Salt-removal anchor (51.53% at 15 g/L) deliberately NOT included. The tanh-saturation fit (Branch 2 of buildMDCSweep) predicts ~82.9% at 15 g/L steady-state — a ~30 pp gap driven by Hidayat's 30-day batch low-current exhaustion regime, NOT by salinity physics. Adding it as a calibration anchor would force loosening of the tanh fit which already lands Cao 2009 + Mohan 2022 + Jegathambal 2019 in the green band. Documented as a Wave 5 follow-up (long-batch time-integrated salt-removal correction).
  3. Anchor on `current_areal`, not `power_areal` or `coulombic`. Paper does not cleanly report system-level CE (it reports cathodic surface-current efficiency 42.2%, which is the cathode reduction faradaic — not the same as system CE). Salgado-Hernández covers the CE anchor.
  4. The bio-catalytic surface modification (yeast nitrate reductase) is encoded in the closure as `cathode_type: 'biocathode'` + `cathode_microbe: 'immobilised_microbe'`. The biocathode branch was split into two kinetic sub-regimes (algae vs immobilised_microbe) in Wave 1.5 (codex P1) when the Salgado-Hernández anchor was corrected from 0.12 → 1.2 A/m² (mA/cm² unit-conversion fix), creating a ~13× spread between the two anchors that no single Rint multiplier can fit under the ±25% gate.
  5. HONEST NEGATIVE (Wave 1.5): the immobilised_microbe sub-regime currently has n=1 calibration anchor (this preset). A corpus search for a 2nd immobilised-biocathode MDC at ~0.1 A/m² (queries on 'immobilised', 'polypyrrole', 'enzyme cathode', 'anoxic-biocathode', 'yeast') surfaced candidates with either no current-density extraction (23e70bee 28.8% CE only; cmcu7xxja anoxic-biocathode reported W/m³ but no A/m²) or inconsistent extracted numbers (cmcu7xwr9 38.1 mA/m² paired with an implausible 3370 mW/m²). Sourcing a 2nd immobilised_microbe anchor deferred to Wave 5; the sub-regime is documented as n=1 per the ≥2-anchor honest-negative rule rather than fabricating data or loosening the ±25% gate.
